This specimen was lot 1186 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $105.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MECKLENBURG-SCHWERIN: AR schilling, 1803, PCGS graded MS64, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type was minted in large numbers 1785-1812. Production resumed in 1817 as KM 253, by which time Friedrich Franz had been promoted to Grand Duke. The duchy was dissolved after World War One.
