This specimen was lot 72183 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "MAURITIUS. Cent, 1912. London Mint. PCGS MS-63 Red Brown Gold Shield. A boldly struck coin with original surfaces and abundant mint red remaining in the fields." This type was struck 1911-12, 1917, 1920-24 in modest numbers. It accompanied a bronze five cents and two cents. Silver quarter, half and one rupees were struck for George V but not until 1934.
