This specimen was lot 4003 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $306. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mauritius. 20 Cents, 1877-H. Victoria. Brilliant mint luster. PCGS graded MS-63." This twenty cent piece was struck for Mauritius in 1877-99 and is the first coin of that denomination issued for that island along with an accompanying ten, five, two and one cent pieces. Its price ascends rapidly with grade. The island remained under British rule until 1968.

Recorded mintage: 375,000 plus proofs.
