This specimen was lot 46713 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Mansfeld-Eigentliche-Hinterort. 1/2 Taler, 1646. Eisleben Mint. Christian Friedrich. PCGS VF-35." Mansfeld-Eigentliche-Hinterort was a county of utmost insignificance except for its silver mines which provided the material for an abundance of thalers. Count David ruled 1592-1628 and Frederick Christopher 1609-31; the line went extinct in 1666. This type is listed for 1642, 1646 and 1649-53.
