This specimen was lot 77262 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Mansfeld-Bornstedt. Taler, 1610. Bruno II, Wilhelm I and Johann Georg IV. FINE." This type was struck 1605-15 in Mansfeld-Bornstedt and is among the more common thalers of the period. Mansfeld-Bornstedt was a county of utmost insignificance except for its silver mines which provided the material for an abundance of thalers. There were several co-rulers; the line went extinct in 1780.
