This specimen was lot 2607 in Goldberg sale 98 (Los Angeles, June 2017), where it sold for $470. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Malaysia. 500 Ringgit, 1982. For the 25th Anniversary of Independence. Choice Brilliant Proof." This type was accompanied by a copper-nickel ringgit (KM 32) and a silver 25 ringgit (KM 33).

Recorded mintage: 20,000 plus 1,000 proofs.

Specification: 10.26 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.295 troy oz AGW.
