Macedonia is one of the fragments of the former Yugoslavia. She preserves a fragile independence but is dominated by her neighbor Serbia. This five denars was struck to support the F.A.O. and comes in brass, as here, and copper-nickel-zinc (KM 7a). As of August 2023, US$1 = 56.48 Macedonian denars, making this coin worth about US$0.09.

Recorded mintage: 3,123,000 in brass plus 1,000,000 in copper-nickel-zinc.

Specification: 7.25 g, brass, 27.5 mm diameter.
