Macao 1978 500 patacas KM-13
This specimen was lot 74496 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "MACAU. 500 Patacas, 1978. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Grand Prix. No Advertising on Car. Brilliantly proof, this 500 Patacas commemorative displays an ultra cameo pop and grasps upwards towards perfection, falling just tantalizingly short." Two varieties exist of this NCLT; with and without advertising on the race car. This design was also used on a silver 100 patacas, which had the same problem with advertising.
