This issue was minted in Lisbon for the Portuguese colony of Macao. This date, 1967, is the second year for this denomination; coinage minted especially for Macao began only in 1952. The coin is common tho a four-year type. Unlike the other colonies of Portugal, there was never any agitation for independence but the colony was returned to China in 1999.
