This specimen was lot 3323 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$218 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Luzern, Stadt und Kanton, Rappen 1839, Luzern. Kranz aus Eichenzweigen, FDC. ANACS MS64 RB. (Switzerland, city and canton of Luzern, Mint State.)"
At this time, ten rappen = one batzen and 240 angster = ten batzen = one frank and four franken = one thaler. This type was struck in 1839 in several varieties; this one has a closed wreath on the reverse. None are rare.
