This specimen was lot 71162 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Luneburg. 1/32 Taler - Schilling, 1647. Free City. NGC MS-63. Great quality for the type, this hammered specimen presents a well centered strike and a pleasing cabinet tone." This type was struck by the city 1647-48 along with KM 71 (1/64 thaler) and KM 59 (1/16 thaler). The duke of Brunswick-Luneburg, who ruled the region, issued a separate coinage.
