Stack's Bowers May 2025 Collectors Choice Online Auction, lot 75507

This specimen was lot 75507 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "LITHUANIA. 50 Litu, 2008. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Lithuania Nature - Bumblebee. St. Casimer on obverse." St. Casimir does not appear on this NCLT but on KM 154, also struck in 2008. Numista states only 6,205 were sold out of the 10,000 authorized. The litas was dropped in favor of the euro in January 2015.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.

Specifications: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.61 mm diameter, edge lettered KAMANĖ PO ČIOBRYNUS LEKIOJA, GIEDRĄ NEŠIOJA, designed by Vladas Oržekauskas and Alfonsas Vaura.
