This specimen was lot 72433 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $110. The catalog description[1] noted, "LITHUANIA. 1/2 Groschen, 1547. Vilnius Mint. Sigismund August of Poland. PCGS MS-62. A well produced and well preserved Mint State example, showing an exceptionally clear strike for the issue along with bright, problem free surfaces." In the sixteenth century, Lithuania comprised the northeast half of the kingdom of Poland whose monarch ruled the two regions separately.
