This specimen was lot 1948 in Goldberg sale 122 (Los Angeles, June 2021), where it sold for $108. The catalog description[1] noted, "Liberia. 20 Dollars, 1995. In memory of John F. Kennedy's Visit to Berlin. Choice Brilliant Proof." Many Liberian coins were not struck for circulation, being issued only in proof sets. In the last twenty years, Liberia has fallen into the clutches of the private minters, who have issued such Liberian themed commemoratives as Star Trek (KM 128), Babe Ruth (KM 131) and Princess Diana (KM 464).
