This specimen was lot 33421 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $43. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 20 Santimu 1992 MS65 NGC. Brassy surfaces with underlying luster. From the Engelen Collection of World Coinage." Latvia recovered her independence in 1992 and coinage resumed in 1992. This one year type is common. A rare variety exists (KM 22.2) struck on brass-plated steel planchets.
