This specimen was lot 53319 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,260. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Kwangtung. 10 Cash, CD (1907). PCGS MS-64 Red Brown. Incredibly vibrant and shimmering, this delightful near-Gem presents a high degree of original mint red while also featuring a slight woodgrain nature." This type was struck 1906-08 and was formerly considered common.
