This specimen was lot 2383 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it sold for $881.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Kuwait. 50 Dinars, 1991 NGC PF67 UC. First Anniversary - Liberation Day. Building. NGC graded Proof 67 Ultra Cameo Gold Wings." This was issued on the first anniversary of Kuwait's liberation from the clutches of Saddam Hussein and was probably distributed to higher ranks of the allied forces. A silver five dinars also exists. The SCWC consigns it to the Unusual World Coins and it is not mentioned in Friedberg. It does not bear a denomination or a Muslim date.
