This specimen was lot 2728 in Goldberg sale 100 (Los Angeles, September 2017), where it sold for $70.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Jersey. 1/12 Shilling, 1945. George VI. Proof." This commemorative celebrating the liberation of the island from Nazi occupation was actually struck 1949-52. The Jersey 1/12 shilling was equal to the British penny.
