This specimen was part of lot 23178 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), which sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "Jersey 1909 Edward VII Copper Pair (2 Pieces), 1909. Both PCGS Gold Shield Certified. 1) 1/12 Shilling. PCGS MS-64+ Red. 2) 1/24 Shilling. PCGS MS-65 Red." Both the 1/24 shilling (= half penny) and 1/12 shilling (= penny) of Edward VII are one year types.
Recorded mintage: 180,000.
