This specimen was lot 72069 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAPAN. 20 Sen, Year 20 (1887). Osaka Mint. NGC MS-66. An incredible specimen that is sure to delight any fan of iridescence, the present Gem minor offers a stunning rainbow peripheral ring on each side, while the central portions remain rather argent." This type was struck 1873-1905 and most dates are common. The superseding type (KM Y30), issued 1907-11, was 4.05 g, 0.800 fine silver and was the last twenty sen.
