This specimen was lot 73530 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "JAMAICA. 5 Cents, 1980. PCGS SPECIMEN-66 Gold Shield. Just one example has been graded finer than this Gem, offering exceptionally mirrored fields and a crocodile on the reverse. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck by the Royal Mint for Jamaica in 1969-72, 1975-89. The Franklin mint also produced this denomination with narrow letters (KM 53) in 1971-84.
