Silesia is considered a German State even tho the province was then under Austrian rule and is now in Poland. Jagerndorf, in upper Silesia, was part of Silesia that Austria retained after Frederick the Great conquered the major portion for Prussia in 1741-45. For many generations it was held by the princes of Liechtenstein. It is now part of the Czech Republic. This type was struck 1576-86 and is very rare. The modern, Czech, name for the town is Krnov.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver.
