This specimen was lot 41094 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Kingdom. 50 Centesimi, 1935-R. Rome Mint. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. A VERY RARE type made exclusively for collectors, this represents the final date of the series. Highly brilliant and engaging, with PCGS having graded just one finer." This type was struck for circulation 1919-25. The other dates, including this one, were struck only in proof. This date comes only with a reeded edge, some dates come with reeded or plain edges.
