This specimen was lot 356 in Nomisma Aste e-live-auction 3 (Verona, Italy, May 2023), where it sold for 25 euro (about US$33 including buyer's fees). The lot description noted, "Savoy Vittorio Emanuele III (1900-1946) 20 Centesimi "Libertà librata" 1921 - FDC. (kingdom of Italy, Victor Emanuel III, 1900-46, twenty centesimi of 1921, uncirculated.)" This type was struck for the kingdom of Italy 1908-14, 1919-22 and 1926-35. Vittorio Emanuele III succeeded his father Umberto upon the latter's assassination in 1900, but by 1923 he had yielded to the Fascists. The issues of 1926 and later are rare, being struck for presentation only.

Recorded mintage: 50,372,000.

Specification: 4 g, nickel, 21.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
