This specimen was lot 75315 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "ISRAEL. 5 Lirot, JE 5725 (1965). Utrecht Mint. PCGS PROOF-65. A flashy piece with a small amount of toning near the top of the coin." This NCLT is one of a series struck 1958-67 in this module. The 1963 Seafaring 5 lirot is the only one that is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 25,147 plus 7,537 proofs.
Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, 34 mm diameter.
