This specimen was part of lot 33742 in Heritage sale 3114 (New York, January 2024), which sold for $2,880. The lot description[1] noted, "Isle of Man: Elizabeth II 6-Piece Certified platinum "Decimal Coin" Proof Set 1976 PCGS, 1) 50 Pence PR66 Deep Cameo; ...2) 10 Pence PR67 Deep Cameo; ...3) 5 Pence PR67 Deep Cameo, ...4) 2 Pence PR67 Deep Cameo, ...5) Penny PR68 Deep Cameo, ...6) 1/2 Penny PR67 Deep Cameo." These coins were struck in base metal, silver and platinum. Similar off-metal sets were also made and sold in 1978 and 1979.

Recorded mintage: 2,800,000 in copper-nickel plus 20,000 in silver plus 600 in platinum.

Specification: KM 36.1: 11.31 g, copper-nickel, 28.5 mm diameter; KM 36a.1: 13 g, 0.925 fine silver; KM 36b.1: 25 g, 0.950 fine platinum.
