This specimen was lot 21068 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $998.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "ISLE OF MAN. Penny, 1798. George III (1760-1820). PCGS PROOF-65 BN Secure Holder. Second issue. Restrike. 'GEORGIVS III. D:G. REX. 1798' Laureate and draped bust of King George III facing right; Reverse: 'QVOCVNQVE IECERIS STABIT' Triune (type 1). A stunning piece with an even semi gloss patina in a rich orange brown color, and meticulously preserved surfaces." This is a Soho mint restrike; circulated specimens exist but are probably outnumbered by restrikes.
