This specimen was lot 57285 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. Shilling, 1935. London Mint. PCGS MS-65." This type is listed for 1928-37, after which the country name was changed to simply "Eire." This date is fairly common. Irish coinage was designed to circulate alongside British coinage which was 0.500 fine silver in the thirties.

Recorded mintage: 400,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.750 fine silver, 23.6 mm diameter.
