This specimen was lot 34910 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $118. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. 1/2 Penny, 1822. PCGS AU-58 Secure Holder. Glossy brown." British issues for Ireland in the nineteenth century were erratic and sparse. The one that can be called somewhat common are the half pennies and pennies of 1822-23.
