This specimen was lot 23068 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. Shilling, ND (1558). London Mint; im: Rose. Elizabeth I. PCGS VF-25 Gold Shield. Base silver issue. Rather crudely produced and fairly well circulated, this piece nevertheless remains a solid representation of a SCARCE issue commonly encountered with problems. Deeply toned with good detail to the peripheries and the harp."
