This specimen was lot 2703 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $450. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAQ: Republic, AR dinar, 1973/AH1393, Oil Nationalization - Oil-tanker "Kirkuk", PCGS graded MS67." In 1973, Iraq was dominated by a military regime but Saddam Hussein had not yet taken over. Several NCLT's were struck in this format 1971-80.
Recorded mintage: 60,000 plus 5,000 proofs.
Specification: 31 g, 0.500 fine silver, 40 mm diameter.
