This specimen was lot 6791 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $470. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Pahlavi, SH 1327 (1948). NGC MS-64. High relief striking, reverse lion slightly flat. Attractive satin luster with no marks of contact. Tied with one other piece as the finest certified." This type, struck SH 1324-1330 during the reign of Muhammed Reza Shah (r. 1941-79), was minted to the standard of a British sovereign. The coins generally trade as bullion coins.
