This specimen was lot 75078 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $244. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 2000 Dinars, SH 1307 (1928). Tehran Mint. Reza Pahlavi. PCGS MS-62." This type was struck SH 1306-1308 along with KM 906 (lion obverse) soon after the overthrow of the Qajars. It is dated using the Solar Hegira (SH) calendar, which has the same start date as the traditional AH calendar but uses solar years instead of lunar years.

Recorded mintage: 11,146,000.

Specification: 9.21 g, 0.900 fine silver, 27 mm diameter, reeded edge.
