This specimen was lot 38788 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Qajar Dynasty. 2000 Dinars, AH 1310 (1892/93). Nasir al-Din Shah. PCGS AU-55." With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran. Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 9.21 g, 0.900 fine silver, 28.2 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM-907.
