This specimen was lot 76519 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Qajar Dynasty. Kran, AH 1283 (1866/67). Qazwin Mint. Nasir al-Din Shah. NGC VF-30. Displaying evidence of usage in commerce, this Kran is still presentable and handsome." This specimen was offered again as lot 38781 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $65. This type was struck at Qazwin AH 1272-1273, 1280-1282, one of 18 mints total. One kran was one thousand dinars and one toman was ten krans.
