This specimen was lot 76493 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Qajar Dynasty. Kran, AH 1241 (1825/26). Hamadan Mint. Fath 'Ali Shah. NGC AU-53. A wholesome problem free example of a Kran, with nice luster and sharp details." The Hamadan mint struck this "type E" kran AH 1240-1250, one of 26 mints to do so. Ten kran made a toman.
