This specimen was lot 69 in Sincona sale 92 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 4,000 CHF (about US$5,544 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN Qajar Dynasty, Fath-'Ali Shah, 1212-1250 AH (1797-1834). Toman 1214 AH (1799/1800), Kashan Mint. Selten, Prachtexemplar, Rare. NGC MS65. Cabinet piece. Purchased from A. Karimi, London, in 1985."
The SCWC lists ten mints for this style of toman but not Kashan. Baba Khan took the name Fath-'Ali Shah on his coronation.
