Sincona sale 67, lot 4012

This specimen was lot 4012 in Sincona sale 67 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$461 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Zand Dynasty | Karîm Khân 1166-1193 H./1753-1779 AD, Gold Coinage. 1/2 Muhr 1190 H., Rasht. Far. 292-4 (1189 H.); Very fine."

This type was struck AH 1185-1193. Half mohurs were also struck at Basra, Shiraz and Tabriz but used different designs.

Specification: 5.50 g, gold, this specimen 5.43 g.
