This specimen was lot 935 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 1/4 Mohur, AH1182 (1768). Fr-20; Shiraz mint. Kerim Khan, 1750-1779. Pop 1; The only one graded at PCGS. PCGS graded MS-62." Karim Khan was the founder and the only effective ruler of the Zands. This type, labeled type D in the SCWC, was struck at Shiraz AH 1178-1191 and six other mints (Astarabad (KM 530.1), Basra (530.2), Kirman (530.3), Khoy (530.4), Rekab (530.5) and Tabriz (530.7)).
