This specimen was lot 705 in Goldberg Sale 145 (Los Angeles, February 2025), where it sold for $564. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 1/4 Mohur, AH1181 (1768). Shiraz mint. Kerim Khan, 1750-1779. PCGS graded AU-58." Karim Khan was the founder and the only competent ruler of the Zands. This type D quarter mohur was struck at Astarabad, Basra, Khoy, Kirman, Rekab, Shiraz (shown here, also known for AH 1179) and Tabriz.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
