Indore (spelled Indur on the map) in 1879

This specimen was lot 2492 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDORE: AR rupee, Malharnagar, AH1246 year 76, bold strike with full Hijri date & regnal year, and superb strike, NGC graded MS65." An extensive series of these rupees exist, all struck in the name of the long deceased Mughal emperor, along with half rupees (KM 73) and quarter rupees (KM 72). Dates range from AH 1185 (regnal year 12) to AH 1296 (regnal year 122). The SCWC prices them all the same.
