India 1985-B 100 rupees

This specimen was lot 76178 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 100 Rupees, 1985-B. Bombay Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Reserve Bank of India." This design was also used on a fifty paise (KM 66), two rupees (KM 122) and ten rupees (KM 199]]). All were struck at Bombay; the proofs have a "B" mintmark.
Recorded mintage: unknown with a diamond plus proofs with a "B".
Specification: 35 g, 0.500 fine silver, 44 mm diameter, security edge.
