This specimen was lot 2767 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AE ¼ anna, 1927(b), NGC graded MS65 RB." The quarter anna was 1/64th of a rupee and was the largest bronze denomination struck under the predecimal system. It was struck in large numbers throughout the Raj until 1942. The 1927 is common and is available both from Bombay and Calcutta. The dot below the date marks this as a product of the Bombay mint.
