This specimen was lot 71604 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. 10000 Forint, 1992-BP. Budapest Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate the 650th anniversary of the death of King Karoly Robert. An attractive Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." Post-communist Hungary issued several NCLT's 1991-93 using the format of the obsolete double ducat struck by the Hapsburgs.
