This type was struck 1943-44. The two filler was bronze 1926-40, steel 1940-42, brass 1946-47 and finally aluminum 1950-89. It was issued under the authority of Miklos Horthy, dictator of Hungary 1920-44 and ally of Hitler and Mussolini. He was forced out of power by the Nazis in 1944 for failing to deliver enough Jews to the Holocaust but survived the war.
