Sincona sale 39, lot 3974

This specimen was lot 3974 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$144 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Joseph I. 1705-1711 Halbtaler 1710. Kremnitz. Vorzüglich. Kleine Henkelspur. (kingdom of Hungary, Joseph I, 1705-11, half thaler of 1710, Kremnitz mint. Extremely fine. Small mount mark.)"

This type was struck for Joseph I during 1708-11. The SCWC notes it as fairly common and mentions the 1710/00 overdate.

Specification: 14.41 g, 0.875 fine silver; this specimen is 14.14 g.
