Sincona sale 59, lot 1904

This specimen was lot 1904 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 8,000 CHF (about US$9,689 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Joseph I. 1705-1711. 1/2 Taler 1710, Prag. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Joseph I, 1705-11, half thaler of 1710, Prague mint. Cabinet piece, Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1709-10 in Bohemia. It is noted as rather expensive in the SCWC but this specimen realized 19 times the catalog value.
