This specimen was lot 6729 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. 6 Krajczar, 1672-KB. Kremnitz Mint. Leopold I (1657-1705). NGC MS-66. Fully worthy of its high gem grade showing no signs of contact and bursting with brilliant white luster. Excellent definition and choice surfaces. Tied with one other piece as the finest certified." This type is listed for 1661, 1667-74 and 1681-82 and is common. The thaler was in the mid-seventeenth century equal to ninety kreuzer, making this denomination one-fifteenth thaler.
