Hungary 1618-KB thaler Dav-3056
This specimen was lot 1884 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,399 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Matthias, 1608-1612-1619. Reichstaler 1618 KB, Kremnitz. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Attraktives Exemplar mit feinem Prägeglanz, vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias, 1612-19, thaler of 1618, Kremnitz mint. Rare in this quality, attractive example with fine luster, extremely fine.)"
Hungary in 1620 was partitioned between the Austrians and the Turks and was not part of the Empire. This type was struck 1617-20.
