This specimen was lot 2366 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 6,500 CHF (about US$9,428 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN, Matthias Corvinus, 1458-1490. Goldgulden o. J. (1478), Kremnitz. Selten. Vorzüglich. (kingdom of Hungary, Matthias Corvinus, 1458-90, undated goldgulden, circa 1478, Kremnitz mint. Rare, Extremely Fine.)"
The ducats or florins or goldgulden of Hungary are among the more common gold coins of the late middle ages. This type was struck with multiple mintmarks and assayers' arms.
